Marvel Universe Fantastic Four Second Variant Boxset Revealed

Marvel Universe Fantastic Four Second Variant Boxset Revealed

Jay Cochran - August 08, 2011
Looks like a second Marvel Universe Fantastic Four Variant Boxset could be in the works from Hasbro. It was revealed during SDCC last month their would be a "Future Foundation" version, and now thanks to MN reader Decepticonmark we have a look at what appears to be a second variant set found on Amazon. From the image which you can see below, the set will contain a variant Invisible Woman who is in mid-transformation from visible to invisible.

It's unknown if this set will actually see release or if there will be changes made to it. If you look closely you will notice the Invisible Woman figure is missing the black stripes on the chest of the figure like seen in the box art and on the Reed Richards figure. If we find out more details on this set we will be sure to pass them on to you.

Where are these being found if at all? I've looked all over my area and zip. I'm heading out of town for a few days and IDK if I'll have a chance to head out to check out any stores in the area, but if I do, any store in particular?

After Hasbro sucker's us all in to buying this, then the Future Foundation set, they'll re-do it again with a stretched out Reed. After that sells through, they'll get around to re-doing Thing.

Then again with long sleeved normal variants! ackbar.gifPrem1x - 2011-08-08 @ 8:55 pm

It's a trap!

yeah, this set doesn't interest me as much as the Future foundation set does. They could do better by just having a conpletly phased Sue or a single carded one.

Double!

That's the most opaque translucent figure yet. I really hope this isnt the final version. As a few people have already pointed out there are like 5 things wrong with that figure.

I dunno. Looks like a repacker trying to make a bundle of some vulnerable completist. It honestly does not look like it came from Hasbro that way. Couldn't someone have switched some parts to try to resell it for far more. Especially if there aren't any others out there, someone is likely to think it's the "only way I'll get my hands on it!"

Maybe I'm just too cynical since I've seen waaay too many repacking issues in the stores around here.

IDK, this is on Amazon from BBTS.

from CS rep-

No word on the new set set. Right now we just have the solid blue.

Thanks!

Kinda odd. Yeah, here right arm has a full sleeve but not sure what you mean about the chest. The rest of her body has a white was too it as well.

He's referring to the fact her chest is completely missing the black striping and black collar. Compare her to Reed in the pic. The normal version matches his suit.

edit: crayons beat me to it. Thats what happens when you hit reply and start watching tv...

Ok, i was just thinking that it something different on her chest completely since he didn't mention the lower torso which the line also goes down on the regular figure.
