To call Johnny Storm impulsive is to commit the gravest understatement. He is a free-spirited egoist of the highest order, as willful as the fire in which he can wreath his body at will. Even as a teenager, he was a turbulent force in the life of his sister and her friends, though they were all unable to resist his stubborn but charismatic insistence on accompanying them everywhere – even into outer space. His arrogance and naïve impulsiveness have been tempered by the great power with which he was gifted by the cosmic storm that bombarded Reed Richards' spacecraft. A lifetime of adventure and his job as Chief Financial Officer of Fantastic Four, Inc. have forced him to grow up at least a little bit, but he still does his best to fill his free time with fast cars and pretty women. It has always been to his credit that, despite a somewhat self-absorbed nature, he is at heart a nice guy who tries his absolute hardest to do the right thing. He has a clearer picture of right and wrong than any of the other members of the Fantastic Four, and serves as their moral compass despite his occasionally reckless behavior.
