Character Summary Marvel Comics introduced Wolverine as a guest-star in Incredible Hulk #181 in 1970. The 5'4" mutant with indestructible adamantium claws and matching skeleton made quite an impression on the fans and was selected to be a member of the revamped Uncanny X-Men. Fans worldwide loved the self-assured fighting master. His constant struggle to prevent his berzerker rages and hold onto his faded humanity thrilled the comic audience every month. In 2000, Wolverine and his fellow X-Men make the jump to the big screen in a star-studded, feature-length blockbuster from Fox Films. Hugh Jackman tackles the role of Logan/Wolverine. The movie takes a dark, gritty realistic approach to the super hero genre. The X-Men fight to protect a world that fears and hates them wearing sleek, black leather battle uniforms instead of their comic book counterpart's traditional, high-tech spandex costumes.
