I stopped reading comics 20 years ago. Tried to get back into the X-men after all that time and just could not hold my interest.

This storyline must have happened when I got out of comics for a bit. I stopped reading around the Zero Tolerance crossover. A few years back I got back into comics and backread X-Men only through trade paperbacks.

The AOA storyline had lots of far reaching plot points!!

Unless I missed a past storyline where Dark Beast time traveled, the Mutant Massacre happened (and the Morlocks were around) way before AoA when Dark Beast first appeared.
