Fox Agrees To Disney's Higher Buyout Offer Over Comcast, But It's Not A Done Deal Just Yet

Jay Cochran - June 21, 2018
After a brief bidding war between Disney and Comcast broke out over buying 20th Century Fox, it looks like Disney has come out on top. Today it is being reported by the WSJ that Fox agreed to Disney's latest bid of $71.3 billion in cash and stock which had been significantly higher than the $52.4 offer Comcast had made.

Now Comcast is likely to come back with a counter offer, but the biggest thing Disney has going for them is that they are expected to win antitrust approval for its offer which would make them the clear winner in Fox's eyes. Nothing is definite just yet, but things are looking much better for Disney winning the day and those Marvel properties back. We will update this story as it develops.
