Venom Stand-Alone Movie Back In The Works From Sony

Venom Stand-Alone Movie Back In The Works From Sony

Jay Cochran - March 05, 2016

Things continue to move forward on the 3rd attempt to reboot the Spider-Man movie universe with Tom Holland donning the wall-crawler mask and joining Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe. Because of this, Sony apparently now feels confident in moving forward with their Venom solo-movie plans. According to THR , the studio has hired Dante Harper to pen a script which will be produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. No word on which version of the alien symbiote we will be seeing on the big-screen. The character has been depicted as both villain and hero in the comics. Venom originally appeared on the big-screen in the lack-luster Spider-Man 3, which saw actor Topher Grace play the character.
