Marvel Universe Galactus Found At Retail...Well Sort Of

Jay Cochran - September 02, 2010
Marvelousnews reader V3nom lets us know he picked up the new Marvel Universe Galctus with Silver Surfer figure at a store called A1 Cards and Collectibles in Anchorage AK for $59.99. The figure is showing up at comic and specialty stores or any place that ordered it through Diamond Dist. There has still been no word as of yet of anyone finding it at a mass-retailer. Thanks to V3nom for the heads up.

Galactus is back on TRU.com (link)

Get two and and extra fig for free shipping!

Anyone in Austin want my second one?

So I've seen him at both New England Comics and Newbury Comics here in Massachusetts but both were $70. Considering it seems as if it'll be fairly common in TRU and maybe other retails stores for $20 less, I'll just wait.

I'm still hoping to grab all 3 versions.

I'm looking forward to getting a Galactus for myself.

No two left feet, his leg just got turned from shipping. Everything is top shape

That's good, would hate to see a quality slip like that on such an expensive figure. You gonna let him out of the box, or keep him MIB?

I plan on opening him once i get the variant and keep the variant mib. I just have to get a bigger case to put him in along with the new waves. my other tub is full

How sweet it is, now just got to wait on the :cyclops: variant

Is it me, or did your big G come with two left feet?? The pic sure looks like it....

Got my Galactus Wednesday from my lcs. I had ordered him, paid $60. Definately worth the money. My only complaint would be that he is a little to chunky (thick legs, torso, not enough height for his mass). The surfer is chrome, and the paint app is top notch. Was kind of hoping for that rumored 'cosmic' phasing look, but this is pretty cool.

The owner of the shop told me a funny thing though: one of the other patrons went to the Toronto Comic Con and bought what sounds like an SDCC exclusive Galactus. He said it had a bigger box with different artwork than mine, like a suitcase because it had a handle. Anyone else know anything about this? Did they sell the retail version in the big box, or the carded version? I'd be interested to know if this version was indeed the carded one, because I can be in Toronto in about 4 hrs., might just go next year....

Its true! I got a chance to grab all the sdcc exclusives at our toy expo. Galactus was 80 bucks but still worth it. We pay more for our MU cap and thor was 15 each. 4 dollars more but all worth it.

Good to know! Definately looking at Toronto next year.....

btw, if I can score another at TRU for $50, I will probably do it to keep one MIB and display one. Did the math, and at 8,000 units for TRU, that comes to about 13 figs per store in the US. If you see him, buy him, because he won't last long.....
