what if this whole poll thing is B.S. just to make this line hype and get your hopes up? no disrespect but i'm a big fan of this line and gave up 6" for it....BUT what if these figures that hasbro claimed won the poll were gonna be the figures of that wave anyway? yeah i know that the winning characters are mostly a-listers, but dont you think the majority of voters wouldve wanted B or C list characters because these characters were going to be made anyway? out of 70 names, "archangel" came in first? come on now. comment back if you voted for archangel or any of the other four winning names so i can be proved wrong.

when i voted, i honestly didin't even pick any of those five because i had a feeling they were going to be made anyway, so i voted for the ones that i thought needed to finally be made because they haven't been done before (in other scales). good market strategy hasbro, almost got me fooled there. tell me i'm wrong.

I voted for all of those except MJ, sorry

Just posted this in another thread on the topic, but in case anyone misses it, the results are here:

and they suck.

#1 Archangel

#2 Winter Soldier

#3 Havok

#4 Mystique

#5 Mary Jane Watson

Thank goodness. I was so worried that we'd never get an Archangel, Mystique, WInter Soldier or Havok. Gosh, they're so unusual that I barely even know who they are. Did they appear in a mini-series or something?

I'm so glad we used our "fan's choices" to get extremely obvious characters made in 2010 rather than 2011.

On the bright side, Hasbro announced they'll actually be making the top 7, not just the top 5. So anyone who voted for the other extremely obvious characters like Storm still has hope!

wow your right they really made use of this fan poll I bet we would have never got an archangel. isn't this the first figure ever for him huh let me go look oh yea i have like 3 of him already

Weren't they supposed to announce the results today, March 16th? There's nothing at all on the Hasbro site. What's the deal?

How exactly will they announce the results 4 days before voting ends?

Voting starts on February 10th and ends on March 5th. Vote for up to five of your favorites. The results will be announced March 16th on Hasbro.com/Marvel.

Yes yes, they fixed it. :P

OMG I want the Stepford Cuckoos to TEARS! That would be a dream come true, but from what I hear from everyone, it's slightly unlikely. I do want a Medusa, too. I wonder how the hair would turn out? Tiger Shark for third, and (two popular ones) Psylocke and Mystique...

But I'm still excited that this is happening. Everyone's so happy, I think it's so cool that they involve the fans. They should do this more often!

I voted for

Gwen Stacy

Mary Jane

Cosmic Spidey

Captain Britain

PaperBag Spidey

HighEvolutionary - 2009-02-12 @ 7:33 pm
i mean what chance does maryjane and gwen stacy have next to luke cage, beast, archangel?

How do you think Karnak feels? ;D

cosmic spidey

mary jane

gwen stacy

paperbag spidey

spot.

From what I'm seeing here, Paperbag Spidey has a decent shot. I wonder if Hasbro will actually sell these mass-market or just as some kind of exclusive. I'll bet they're dreading the possibility of having to put Paperbag or some of these other C-listers on pegs in wide release.

As for Spot, I like him a lot as a character and wouldn't mind if he were made. But given the plainness of his costume, he'd be kind of boring as a figure unless they can do something to represent his powers, like detachable limbs and extra "spot" accessories or something. If Hasbro is making these especially for us, I want them to work a bit on the sculpt.
